Melissa’s role is to make sure that all of SSI’s business functions (sales, field services, accounting, marketing, and human resources) are successfully meeting company goals. She is also in constant pursuit of looking for ways to improve sales, efficiencies, profitability, and the customer experience. Melissa has been with SSI since day one and has held virtually every job in the company – from working in the warehouse to receptionist, and then eventually into sales. During her time in sales, Melissa developed key accounts that are still loyal today. Internally, she has spearheaded most of the processes that SSI uses – from deploying the accounting software and CRM system, to creating the workflows by which most of our departments function.

Melissa’s top 5 job-related strengths are that she is diligent and organized, disciplined, a strong communicator, empathic, and has strong initiative. She loves the team at SSI and says, “We have so many moving parts and every person we work with is willing to go ‘above and beyond’ in order to make it all work.”

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, working out/fitness, outdoor recreation (hiking, paddle boarding, etc.), taking care of the family farm, and reading.
